JORDAN, MILTON LEE, 95, of Panama City Beach, FL began his Heavenly Journey with his Lord on Friday, April 10, 2015. He was the son of Bryant and Effie Jordan. Milton was born on May 21, 1919 in Clarke County, AL. After graduating high school Milton served in the CCC Forestry Unit in the northwest states. Milton served his country from 1942 through 1945 with honor in the US Army. As part of the 1884th Engineering Avn. Bn. Milton was stationed in Anguar, Puerto Rico and in Okinawa as a Staff Sergeant and Construction Foreman supervising crews of men engaged in the construction of air strips, bridges, roads, and buildings. Mr. Jordan is survived by his loving wife of nearly 71 years, Vallillee; daughter, Diane Jordan (Dann); sons, Joel Jordan (Connie); Bill Jordan (Stacey); 6 grand children; 5 great grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Willodean Jordan (Jesse Ray), and many nieces and nephews living in Alabama and Florida. Milton was the last surviving of his six siblings. Milton served many years as a Deacon at Rock Hill Baptist in St. Louis, MO and played a part in the planning of their new building at that time. Upon his retirement Milton and Val relocated from St. Louis, MO to Panama City. Milton joyfully served his Lord through the years in many ways by actively witnessing, serving as a Sunday School teacher, and enjoyed participating in the Benevolence ministry for 11 years at St. Andrew Baptist Church. A celebration of Milton's life will be held on Wednesday at 11 am, April 15 , 2015 at Wilson Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. A private burial ceremony will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.
