MILTON GRANT CARTER

Milton Grant Carter, 88, of Panama City, went to be with his Master on Thursday, July 16, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 10, 1921 in Wausau, Florida. Milton was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Panama City. He was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on November 22, 1949 and was the First Master of Harry Jackson Masonic Lodge #314. He was a perpetual member of the lodge and was a 50 year member. He became a member of Scottish Rite in 1962, received his KCCH in 1983, member of the Shaddai Shrine Temple and the Order of the Eastern Star. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Linda "Fritz" Carter; sons, Gregory and Pat; three grandchildren, Allison Carter, Jason Carter, Steven Carter; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Panama City with Rev. David Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Masonic rites conducted at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 – 8 p.m. The Masonic Lodge will open one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
