Millard Sidney "Sid" Brickerd Jr., 88, of Panama City, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021. He was born June 21, 1932 in Seabrook, Maryland to Millard Sidney Brickerd and Mary Fields Brickerd . He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Earl Garretson Brickerd, Robert Dennis Brickerd, sister, Dorothy Lee Brickerd Snow and a sister-in-law, Alice Stone Brickerd. He is survived by three stepsons, Darrell D. Paul (Luanne), Perry Paul (Joan), Asa Paul , three nieces, Betty Jo Harmon, Sharon Darlene Miller, Wanda Lavonia White and a nephew, James W. White (Bonnie). He obtained his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees from the University of Florida. He spent 34 years in government service. Four years were in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Storekeeper during the Korean War. Thirty years were as an Electronic Engineer at the U.S. Navy's research and development laboratory in Panama City. While at the laboratory, he received two patents and was co-inventor on a third. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 12 noon in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Rev. Paul Ensminger officiating.
