MILDRED CUMMINGS WEBBER

Mildred Cummings Webber "Mitzi", beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on Friday, December 16, 2011. She was the daughter of the late, Henry Oliver and Mildred Sheffield Cummings. She was born in Lela, Georgia on December 21, 1930 and raised in Donalsonville, Georgia. She attended the Napsonian School for Girls, now known as Westminster, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority; met and married William Guyton Webber, Sr. She developed Palm Aire Villa and Windsong Condominiums on Panama City Beach. A longtime member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Guyton Webber, Sr. and two brothers, Henry Oliver Cummings and Peter Sidney Cummings. She is survived by her five children, William Guyton Webber, Jr, Claire Webber Triece (Steve), Henry Cummings Webber (Laura), Frederick Rufus Webber II, Michael Manning Webber; four grandchildren, Courtney Triece Askari (Aria), Taylor Scott Triece (Samantha), Oliver Cummings Webber, Anna Hurt Webber; one great-grandchild, Liam Navid Askari; brother, William Gaylord Cummings (Ramona); and loving companion, James Gilbert Mills. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the Woodlawn United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Irwin officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. Flowers accepted or those desiring may make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 4001 W 23rd Street, Suite C, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Mildred Webber.
