IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mildred Redmon
Clark
September 1, 1926 – January 21, 2017
Mildred Redmon Clark, Age 90, went home to be with her Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ on January 21, 2017. Born in Millville, September 1, 1926, she was the eldest child of Mr. C.H. (Haywood) and Mrs. Alma Mae Redmon. She was a graduate of Bay High School, Gulf Coast State College, and The University of West Florida (Summa Cum Laude). She was a homemaker, a retired educator with Bay District Schools, and a longtime member of The Immanuel Baptist Church. Mildred was a very caring and loving person to her family and friends as well as a gifted and talented artist. It was her greatest delight to share her skills and teach others in many different areas of arts and crafts. Upon retirement, Mildred enjoyed the "Helping Hands" group associated with the University of Florida Extension Office in Panama City.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Norma Jeanne Redmon Fulford and Carol Redmon Stacey; and her brother, Larry H. Redmon. She is survived by her son, Roger L. Clark (Julie) of Panama City; daughter Nancy C. Leasko (Bob) of Panama City Beach; her grandsons, Roger L. Clark, Jr.(Casey) of Panama City and Jason Leasko of Panama City Beach; her great-grandchildren, Conner Ethan Clark and Avery Lane Clark. She is also survived by her sister, Lynda Redmon Claspy (John) of Panama City; her brother, Rev. Donald H. Redmon, Sr. of Panama City; and sister-in-law Mrs. Gail Wilder of Crawford, Georgia. She also is survived by numerous other relatives and friends in addition to her dear friend and neighbor Mrs. Elizabeth Ponds.
A celebration of life service with be held Tuesday, January 24, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at the Immanuel Baptist Church with interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Dr. Donald H. Redmon, Jr. (Nephew) will officiate the service with her Pastor, Rev. Josh Spiers. Active pallbearers will be her Grandsons, Great-Grandson, Nephews, and Son-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of her Sunday School class, Mathison Retirement Center Staff and care-givers, Elizabeth Ponds, and Glenda Couch.
Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff of the Mathison Retirement Community for the care, friendship, and love provided for the last two and one-half years. She made many very good friends while a resident of this facility. To the staff of Covenant Care, thank you for the loving care provided to her.
It is requested that in lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a contribution in her memory to the Immanuel Baptist Church, 216 College Avenue, Panama City, Florida 32401.
