Michael William Zekas, died February 17, 2017 at a local hospital.  He was a World War II Veteran serving in the naval medical corps.

He was an educator in Michigan, Illinois and retired from the Bay County school system after 30 years.

He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Virda; 2 children, Mark (Carol), Catherine (Tony); 3 grandchildren, Jon (Savannah), Victoria (Mike), and Holly (Aaron); plus 5 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Memorials may be made to Living Stones at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1608 Baker Court, Panama City, Florida 32401.
