Michael Donald Reed, aged 72, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. He loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. He served joyfully in various ministries for many years such as a Bus Ministry where he would go and pick up kids and take them to church. He also was involved in a prison ministry for years. He started a singles ministry at Central Baptist and Cook Memorial Baptist Church. He taught a Sunday School class for many years there and also at Central Baptist Church and St Andrew Baptist Church.

He was born on November 6, 1952 in Germany to Rea (pronounced "Ray") and Maria Reed. He loved his family dearly and trains. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cynthia Reed; daughter Heidi Nelson (Cliff); daughter Melissa White (Josh); son Andrew Reed; sister Margie Kenney; and grandchildren Luke (age 6), Caleb (age 5), Levi (age 2), and Ruth (age 1) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be at 10:00 am.
