Michael leaves behind his precious dog "Buddy" who was a constant source of joy and support during his cancer journey and also Prissy "the feral cat" After 33 years with Bell South, he retired and continued giving back as an active and devoted member of the Telephone Pioneers. He loved the outdoors and found great joy in nature, especially when fishing, where he appreciated both the quiet moments and the thrill of the catch. An avid firearms enthusiast, he took pride in his knowledge, responsibility, and appreciation for the sport. He also enjoyed watching MMA and football, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on his favorite fighters and teams. Mike was also a devoted NASCAR fan and especially loved cheering on his favorite drivers Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He also took pleasure in a good cigar sitting outside on his back porch. Above all else, his greatest joy was his wife, Cindy. He took immense pride in spoiling and taking care of her, always putting her happiness and comfort first. Their bond was a true testament to love, partnership, and devotion. Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he so freely gave. We extend our deepest gratitude to his caregivers, Jessi and Moe and to People’s Hospice for going above & beyond to ensure his passing was peaceful and dignified.
