Michael Arthur Polonius, 69, of Panama City, FL passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.  He was born on January 24, 1954 in Bloomington, IL.  He served in both the United States Air Force and the United States Army National Guard.  In 1988, he married the love-of-his-life, Denise Polonius.  Together, they spent much of their time traveling to the mountains of North Carolina, riding motorcycles, cheering on their favorite sports teams, the Atlanta Braves and the Auburn Tigers, and spending time with their grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruth Polonius and wife, Madonna Denise Polonius.  He is survived by three children, Michael L. Polonius, John D. Polonius, and Stephanie Polonius Houseal (Matt Robichaux); his grandchildren, Tannis and Aniege Polonius, Lauren and Wyatt Houseal, and Lillie pup.  Also his sister, Dianna Sweet (Wes Burch) and Joe (Ana) Mollman, Matt (Lisa) Mollman, brothers and sisters in law, Bruce (Teresa) Mercer, Rhonda (Dennis) Hatcher, Mark (Renee) Mercer, Debra Mercer; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 6, 2023 at 11 am at Immanuel Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10-11 am prior to the service.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 1 pm EST in the Tallahassee National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial donations to the Warrior Beach Retreat, PO Box 19555, Panama City Beach, FL 32417.
