Michael David Smith, 68, of Southport, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023 in his home.  He was born August 3, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was a retired convenience store district manager.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ezekiel Smith; two sisters, Karen Stokes, Jackie Jones and a granddaughter, Stella.  He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Adams (Chris); mother, Thelma Lee Rogers Stokes; stepson, Shawn May (Laura); six grandchildren, Mason, Luna, Ashton, Zackary, Kevin, Jaxon; two brothers, Gary Breeding (Debbie), Charles Stokes; two sisters, Sheila Stokes (Gene), Katherine Rogers (Joseph) and numerous extended family.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 9. 2023 at 11 a.m. In the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
