Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of our son Michael Anthony Campo, 30.  He went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 1, 2021.  Michael was born October 23, 1990 in Norristown, Pennsylvania.  He graduated from Bozeman High School in 2009 and was most recently employed with the City of Panama City.   Michael was also a crew member of Family Tradition Charters on the "Making Memories Boat" and was a long-time employee of The Deer Shack.

Mikey will be missed every day by his precious daughter, Maylee June Campo; loving mother, Susan Patricia Jones (John); father, Ralph Anthony Campo (Donna); two sisters, Jennifer Gabriele Poston (David); Melissa Beth Coats (Daniel); nieces and nephews, Gabriella, Adaline, Grant, and Baby Leah Harper.  Mikey will equally be missed by his aunts, uncles, and cousins. We know Mikey is now in heaven with his Nanny, Papa John, Grandpop and Grandmom Campo.

For those that knew Michael "CAMPO", they would say he was a free spirit, loving, selfless, adventurous, kind, intelligent, affable person known for being a true light in everyone's life.

Although only 30 years old, Michael had a profound impact on many people. He was adored by everyone who met him. He had a big heart a beautiful smile, a tremendous bear hug, and a personality that would light up the room. To know him was to love him.

Michael was a devoted father, best friend and guardian angel to his daughter who he loved more than anything, and whom he cherished with all his heart. Michael was also a loyal and caring son to both his parents and dearest sisters and a best friend whom he cherished to the day he died.

Throughout his life, his passion for people, hunting, fishing, boating, sports and adventure gave him the ultimate pleasure. Michael was not only an exceptionally kind person, he also had a remarkable talent for seeing the good in others.

His memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m.—11 a.m. prior to the service.  His ashes will be spread in the Gulf at 5:30pm on "Making Memories" with a private family service.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to a trust fund being set-up for his daughter, Maylee June, at https://gofund.me/0997d421 .
