MELTON ROBERT GARDNER

Melton Robert "Red" Gardner, 83, of Panama City, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2007 in his home. He was born on March 3, 1924 in Newburgh, Indiana. Red was a veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theatre as a Sergeant with the U.S. Army, a participant in the Battle of the Bulge and a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW. He is survived by his wife, Vera; son, Bruce Gardner of Panama City; daughter, Carol Ausbrooks, of Newburgh, Indiana; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at Wilson Funeral Home from 1 – 3 p.m. on Saturday.
