IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Beth
Waters
August 20, 1948 – January 17, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Beth Waters, 76, who left us in her sleep on January 17, 2025, at her home in Parker, Florida. A loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished Nana, Mary touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and boundless generosity.
Mary was born on August 20, 1948, in Warren, PA to the late John and Betty Rodgers. Throughout her life, she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her family and friends, always offering love, support, and compassion.
A woman of many talents, Mary found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid cook whose meals brought comfort and joy to all who gathered around her table. Her love of cooking for family and friends was the way she expressed her profound love for them. Whether it was her famous marinara sauce or her country fried steak, homemade cookies, or fresh baked bread, her food was a reflection of the love she poured into everything she did. Mary's love of cooking was matched only by her passion for knitting, a craft she perfected over the years, creating beautiful handmade treasures for her loved ones. She also had a deep affection for gardening and spent countless hours tending to her flowers, vegetables, and plants
Mary is survived by her husband, Ray Waters, her brothers John Norris and Terry Rodgers, her children, Herb Lamb, Heather Sinyard, Heath Lamb and Helen Coleman, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who adored her and will remember her for her gentle spirit, her unwavering support, and her ability to make every moment feel special.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Rodgers, her siblings, Cheryl Pennock and Phillip Rodgers, her daughter, Heidi Groce and her granddaughter, Karri Alonso. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her love, her laughter, and her beautiful spirit will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
A memorial service will be held at Parkway Presbyterian Church on Tyndall Parkway in Panama City on January 21, 2025 at 11 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Habitat for Humanity in Mary's memory.
Rest in peace, Mary. You will always be loved, always remembered, and forever missed.
