Mary I. Tiller ( age 88 ) of Panama City Florida passed away on May 11, 2023 in Clayton, North Carolina. Mary was born December 31, 1934 in Apalachicola Florida to Reverend Roy and Effie Lee Harper.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 42 years and served as secretary and pianist. She also attended Callaway United Methodist Church and Callaway Assembly of God Church. In 2010, started attending First Baptist Church in downtown Panama City, Florida. There, she became very active in the Faith Ministry, Senior Adult Monthly Luncheon and the L.L.L. Sunday School Class.

Mary was preceded in death by her father and mother, husband Wilburn "Son" Tiller of 58 years, Grandson Matthew Tiller, brothers Gene Harper, Doyle Harper, Bert Harper and Johnny Harper, sister-in-laws Grace Chesnut, Betty Spivey and Louise Whidden.

Those left to cherish Mary's memory includes sons Charles Tiller (Pam), Jim Tiller (Denise), Ken Tiller (Lidia), grand children Amber (Terry) Anderson, Bobby (Kim) Tiller, Jaclyn (David) Kirby, Adam Tiller, Andrew (Lindsey) Tiller, Melissa (Kyle) Thrower and Jacob (Rachel) Tiller in addition to brother Sonny Harper, several nieces and nephews, adopted children Steve Grubbs, Cissie Grubbs and Jay (Cindy) Milam, special friends Wiley & Sally Tilley, Gay Sudduth, Steve & Amy Wilson, Doug & Trisha Durham, and Karen Cook. She cherished her time with the loving staff of Fresenius Kidney Care in Selma, North Carolina and her great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home on May 19, 2023 from 5 to 7pm . Interment to follow at Moss Hill Cemetery in Washington County, Florida.
