Mary Calvin (Smith) Moody

A beloved soul who graced this world with her warmth and love, departed this life on May 22, 2024, at the age of 81.

Born on December 14, 1942, in Luverne, Alabama, Mary's journey came to its peaceful close at her cherished home of 31 years in Panama City, Florida.

Mary's life was one of profound love and unwavering dedication to her family. She is now reunited in eternity with her husband Charles Moody, her dear parents, George Calvin Smith and Eunice B Smith, her sisters Jennifer Smith and Faye Colquitt, her brother Larry Smith, and her brother-in-law's Guy Perdue and Lowell Carter.

Left to cherish her memory are her adoring children, Kenneth (Christine) Floyd Jr., Perry Floyd, and Crystal Floyd. Mary's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Kenneth (Kelly) Floyd III, Rachel Floyd Dewitt, Robert (Olivia)Floyd, Alex (Hailey)Floyd, Michael (Abbie)Floyd, Victoria Floyd, Maranda (Chase)Forest, and Elijah Boggan (Ammie). Her great-grandchildren, Hannah Floyd, Kenneth Floyd IV, Sadie Floyd, Wyatt Dewitt, Emmy Dewitt, Riley Floyd, Arabella Floyd, R.J. Dubose, DC Dubose, Dawson McCraney, Mason Forest and Stetson Forest will forever be touched by her love and wisdom.

Mary's presence brought joy and solace to her siblings, Betty (Guy) Perdue, Gaye (Lowell) Carter, George (Janice) Smith and Pat (Paul) Floyd. Together, they shared a bond that transcends time and space.

Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were touched by her kindness and grace. Yet, Mary's spirit lives on in the cherished memories she leaves behind, a testament to a life well-lived and deeply loved.

In the embrace of fond remembrance, Mary Calvin (Smith) Moody will forever remain an enduring beacon of love and light in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.

A graveside service for the immediate family will be at Joquin Baptist Church, Goshen, AL
