Mary Jeannette McNab Byers died December 26, 2014 in her home in Panama City, Florida. She was born in Headland, Alabama to Mattie Elizabeth Ayres McNab and James Oscar McNab. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years William Henry Byers. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James Ayres McNabb, Orin McNab, and Charles McNab; her sisters Willie Gafford, Margaret June Manuel, and grandson Craig Alan Byers. For many years she was office manager of Panama City Chamber of Commerce. After retiring she worked at Peoples First Bank of Panama City. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother of her large family. She is survived by her two children James Wade Byers and his wife Delores, Jeannette Chapman and husband Joe. Her grandchildren are James Wade Byers, Jr. and Suzanne Byers, Mary Marie Clemo and husband Scott, Joe Chapman and wife Pamm, Kristian Chapman and wife Stacie, David Chapman and wife Kelli. Her great grandchildren are Tristan Byers-Brauckmann, Si Clemo and wife Katie, Rose Clemo, Sunny Clemo, and William Clemo; Joseph Chapman, Nathan Chapman, Elizabeth Chapman; Gabrielle Chapman and Kasey Chapman; David Chapman, Mac Chapman, and Jake Chapman. A family funeral service was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Chapman. The service was conducted by Mrs. Byers' nephew, Rev. Randy Cuchens of Newton, Mississippi, and interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Panama City. The family would like to give special recognition and thanks to Cyndi Lewis, Sauvry Young and Terri Bryant who were Mrs. Byers' wonderful caregivers.
