MARY LOUISE McLAIN
Mary Louise McLain, 88, of Panama City, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013. She was born May 2, 1924 in Warrior, Alabama to Leonard & Alice Campbell. She graduated from California Polytechnic University and earned a Master's degree from Samford University. She spent 26 years as a Bay District Schools administrator and served as Principal at Merriam Cherry Street, A.D. Harris, Oscar Patterson and Callaway Elementary before retiring in 1994. She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. McLain, three sisters, Melba Hulsey, Imogene Rogers, Geraldine Campbell; and one brother, William Campbell. She is survived by three children, Michael McLain (Brigitte), Mary Jane McLain Watkins (Dennis), Gary C. McLain (Anna); six grandchildren, Kelli Braud (Brandon), Kasey Price (Whit), Ashley Christie (Duane), Paul Holzer, Adam McLain, Reid McLain; and three great grandchildren, Olivia Christie, Camp Braud, Millie Braud. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ Cemetery, Warrior, Alabama.
