MARY K. LENHART
Mary K. Lenhart, 80, of Panama City, died Saturday, September 10, 2011. She was born November 8, 1930 in Falco, Alabama as the youngest of six children to Roscoe and Ennie Little Kelley. She graduated from Pleasant Home High School in 1949. She married her husband, John M. Lenhart, Jr. later that year and joined him in his farming operation. They left the farm in 1955 and moved to Panama City where her husband, John, went to work at what is now the Naval Coastal System Station. Mary was Protestant by faith and was a Registered Nurse by profession. After the loss of their daughter, Lori, in 1966 she enrolled in Gulf Coast Community College and earned an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1969 and worked for several years in local health care facilities. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lenhart; and her daughters, Janet Hansen and Lori Lenhart. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Young officiating. Special thanks goes to Bobbie Daniels, Rose Stratton, Emerald Coast Hospice and the staff of Sterling House who helped Lisa give Mary love and purpose.
