MARY LOIS KOLMETZ
Mary Lois Kolmetz, 76, of Panama City, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2009 after fighting a long and courageous battle against a debilitating disease. She kept her wit and desire to live till she was called home. She was born December 9, 1932 in Baker, Florida. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1946, moving from Okaloosa County. She was an expert quilt maker and seamstress and a member of the Church of Christ. She loved to bowl and was a member of the Wednesday Morning Women's Bowling League. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Myrle Mims and Ruth Rooney. She is survived by her dedicated and loving husband of 58 years, Bert Kolmetz, Sr.; four sons, Bert Kolmetz, Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Warner Robins, GA, John Kolmetz, of Panama City, Tim Kolmetz and wife, Linda, Joey Kolmetz and wife, Deanna, all of Callaway; four grandchildren, Trey Kolmetz, Hayley Kolmetz, Chris Kolmetz, Jeff Kolmetz; several great grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Jordan, of Panama City; two sisters, Marie Jordan, Karen Bryant and husband, Eddie, all of Panama City and her special nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in Live Oak Cemetery in Washington County, FL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 – 5 p.m.
