MARY NELL GAY
Mary Nell Gay, 66, of Panama City, died Friday, August 10, 2007 as a result of an accident. She was born September 21, 1940 in Sumrall, Miss., to Sidney & Nell Carruth. She was a retired home economics teacher, having taught at Jinks and Mowat Junior High School. She was a member of the St. Andrew United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the ADK. She was a judge at the county fair for the county extension office. She is survived by her husband, George C. Gay, daughter, Amiee, Gladys Scollon, and a grandson, William George Scollon. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the St. Andrew United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be John Webb, Michael Habbrick, Stephen Headley, Jeff Gay, Jimmy Bailey and Will Scollon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
