Mary Emma "Polly" Finucane, 102, of Panama City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Brookdale Senior Living of Panama City.  She was born August 24, 1920 in Seattle, WA.

Polly loved the Lord, her family and being involved at First United Methodist Church of Panama City since 1973.  At church she sang in the choir and "fair ladies".  She was a faithful member of the Naomi Circle, "crafty ladies" and other activities. She was also a member of the Christian Women's Club, Christian Women United and was awarded a lifetime member of the United Methodist Women.

Our family moved from St. Petersburg, Florida in 1973.  Mom reentered the workforce as an occupational therapist at United Cerebral Palsy.  She worked until her late 70's with infants with CP, Down's Syndrome and others.  She was truly the best mother in the world, the most loving, kind, caring, patient, supportive and encouraging mother that one can imagine.  We were very blessed. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Finucane; parents, David and Florene Packard and sister, Margaret Palmer Jones. She is survived by her children Patricia (Wayne) Gossman, Kathleen Finucane, Caroline Youngberg, Shawn (Cynthia) Finucane; grandchildren Terry (Allison) Wirt, Jr., Heather (Korey) Felder, Daniel (Rebekah) Gossman, Christine (J.D.) Beck, Nathan Gossman, Shelley Gossman, and Kasey Gossman; great- grandchildren, Henry Wirt, Kobin Felder, Harper Felder, Quinn Felder, Micah Gossman, Josiah Gossman, Jeremiah Gossman, Eden Beck, Josephine Beck, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dr. Jeremy Pridgeon will officiate the celebration of life service held Friday, October 21, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church of Panama City at 2 pm. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Floral donations are welcomed but those desiring may make memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Panama City in memory of Polly Finucane.
