Mary Ella "Sue" Hutchins, 80, of Panama City was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 4, 2019. She was born the youngest of 11 children on August 13, 1938. She moved to West Bay, Florida as a young child and spent most of her life as a resident of Bay County. She was a Christian. She spent her life supporting her husband of 58 years ministry as a preacher's wife. She worked as a homemaker and later went to work as a teacher's aide at Covenant Christian and Panama City Christian Schools as well as St. Andrew and Hiland Park Baptist Churches Children's ministry. She is best known for her sweet spirit and infectious smile. She could be found either fishing, teaching Sunday School, attending gospel sings or watching her grandchildren's ball games. She is survived by her beloved husband Donald Hutchins; three children, Patrina Skipper (David), Jonathan "Paul" Hutchins (Amanda), Adam Hutchins (Jennifer); grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Juanita Buchanan (J.A.) and Beatrice Hood (Kenneth) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vonnie and Lola Wilson, eight sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the St. Andrew Baptist Church gymnasium with Dr. Michael Claunch officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Interment will follow in the West Bay Cemetery. Active pallbearers are her sons and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Lighthouse Tenders Sunday School Class. Those desiring to may make memorial donations to St. Andrew Baptist Hope Center in her memory.
