MARY JANE FARRELL EDWARDS

Mary Jane Farrell Edwards, 87, of Panama City, died Saturday, July 22, 2006 in her home. She was born August 18, 1918 in Sedalia, Missouri and had been a resident of Panama City since 1949. She was a credit processor for Sears Roebuck retiring in 1980. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick F. Edwards, brother, James R. Farrell, and a sister, Agnes Farrell Adams. She attended Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church, volunteered for the American Red Cross and was a former Brownie Scout leader. She is survived by a son, Steven F. Edwards, a daughter, Jane Edwards Cooper and husband, Harry, 2 grandchildren, Matthew F. Cooper, Marianne J. Cooper, niece, Vivian Farrell and numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Edwards officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Those desiring may make a contribution to the Edwards-Pridgen Memorial Scholarship Fund at Enterprise-Ozark Community College, make checks payable to the EOCC Foundation, P.O. Box 1300, Enterprise, AL 36331 in memory of Mary Jane Edwards.
