Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Poole Wheeler

April 24, 1962 – December 21, 2023

Mary Elizabeth Poole Wheeler, 61, of Panama City, Florida passed away on Thursday, December 21st in Panama City, Florida surrounded by loved ones. Beth was born on April 24, 1962, in Montgomery, Alabama to William and Eloise Poole. She relocated from Greenville, Ala. where she attended Fort Dale Academy to Panama City Beach in 1978 where she attended Bay High School. Her parents established "Billy's Oyster Bar", a local favorite where she worked for many years. She loved music, writing, and spending time with family. She was known for her witty sense of humor and love for having fun. She was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Beth was preceded in death by her father William Poole and brother Marc Poole. She is survived by her four daughters: Brandi Schlichtenmyer (Rob) of New Orleans, Louisiana, Annie Gray of Panama City, Florida, Elizabeth Gray of Panama City, Florida and Katie Wheeler of Satellite Beach, Florida. Brother Robert Ernie Poole (Malia) of Villa Rica, Georgia, Sister Pru Anderson (LaVoy) of Panama City Beach, Florida. Grandchildren: Rylee Mae Cumpston (Brandi), Shyla Green and Kaysen Gray (Elizabeth) along with numerous extended family. A Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
