MARTHA ELLEN LONG PETERS
Martha Ellen Long Peters, 79, of Panama City, passed away, Thursday, May 14, 2009 in a local nursing home. She was born August 3, 1929 in Hartford, Alabama to Fred R. and Gladys Ford Long. She was a 1947 graduate of Bay High School. She was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her son, James Reddoch "J.P." Peters and sister, Freida Mills. She is survived by her husband, Dr. James Alexander Peters, four grandchildren, James Cody Peters, Joshua Randall Peters, Rianna Green, Rachel Ann Peters and three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ben Klucinec officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Panama City Rescue Mission, 609 Allen Avenue, Panama City, FL 32401 or to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Martha Peters.
