MARTHA CAMPBELL
CAMPBELL, Dr. Martha S, on Thursday, January 10, 2008, ascended into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Martha was born in Deland, Florida, June 1, 1945. She grew up in Panama City and attended FSU and the University of Texas. She received her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from FSU in 1983. After working as a school social worker in Tampa for 14 years, she had a private counseling practice until her recent illness. Martha attended and taught a Bible class at Calvary Baptist Church, Safety Harbor.
Martha was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend, counselor and teacher. A part of our heart is gone, but we rejoice that we will be reunited in Heaven one day.
She was predeceased by her father, C.B. Campbell and mother Mary Campbell Sawyer. She is survived by her stepfather, J.L. Sawyer, of Panama City, sister, Margie Jones and husband John of Panama City; three brothers, Jerald and Harold Campbell of Sanford; and Terry Campbell and wife Susan of Panama City; two nieces, Holli Campbell and Christy Morcate; three nephews, Randy Campbell, Scott Jones, and Neel Campbell; 4-great nephews, Jared Jones, Dustin and Brendon Campbell, and Jackson Morcate and one great niece, Kelly Jones.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, West Chapel, Tampa, FL with Mr. Barry Banpher officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Graveside services and interment will be Sunday, January 13, at 2 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery, Panama City. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be given to Calvary Baptist Church in memory of Dr. Martha S. Campbell.
