MARTHA MYRON BROWN DAVIS
Martha Myron Brown Davis, 84, of Parker, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in a local nursing home. She was born June 18, 1924 to Charles & Ida Victoria Brown. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Rebecca Sunday School Class. She was an avid gardener and was a wonderful southern cook. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, David Davis; her brothers, Ernest Brown, Edward Brown, and her sister, Ophelia Merchant. She is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Lynn Davis, of Parker, Sara Harris and husband Robert, of Panama City, three grandchildren, Gregory Carithers and wife Diann, Randy Carithers and wife Virginia, Renee Mercer and husband Mark, sister, Mizelle Richie, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Brannon and Rev. Chris Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Parker Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 216 College Ave., Panama City, FL 32401 in memory of Martha Myron Davis.
