Martha Lillian Boyd Garrett, 83, of Lynn Haven, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008. She was born October 19, 1924, in Houston County, Alabama. She was a retired saleslady for Cogburns Jewelry where she had worked for 35 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Lynn Haven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas O. Garrett, Jr. She is survived by her son, Roger Garrett and wife Pat, daughter, Lecile Oliver and husband Robert, two grandchildren, Patrick Garrett, Shannon Garrett, two great grandchildren, Landen Williams, Joseph Garrett, three brothers, Stancil Boyd, Shelley Boyd and wife Shelby Jean, William Boyd and wife Geraldine, three sisters, Alyene Mitchell, Betty Dempsey and husband Richard, Liz Mouring and husband Henry and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Lynn Haven with Rev. Tom Daniel and Rev. Dennis Pledger officiating. Interment will follow in Lynn Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Lynn Haven on Tuesday from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service.
