MARK LEONARD LONG
Mark Leonard Long, 49, of Panama City, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014. He was born July 20, 1964 in Panama City. He was a graduate of Shaw Adult Center. He worked on a submarine for 11 years for the United States Navy. He also worked at Sallie Mae and made it his life mission to help others. He was a member of the Paul W. Airey American Legion Post #392 and the Patriot Guard. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Leonard Long. He is survived by his mother, Billie Jo Long; two brothers, Charles Long (Joyce), Jack Long (Deb); five nieces, Shannon, Jennifer, Michelle, Kacy, Olivia; two nephews, Michael, Jason; three great nieces and nephews; and many close friends including, Jim & Lisa Hill, Tony Huddleston, numerous adopted family from the American Legion Post, Warrior Beach Retreat and the Patriot Guard. An everlasting ceremony service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Paul W. Airey American Legion Post #392, 535 Oak Avenue, Panama City, FL 32402. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405 or to the Warrior Beach Retreat, P.O. Box 19555, Panama City Beach, FL 32413 in memory of Mark Long.
