Marilyn Merten Summers, born December 14, 1924, in Louisville, KY passed away on September 24, 2023 in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 73 years, Lt. Col Wilson Summers III. She was also preceded in death by her parents William and Elizabeth Merten and four brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Wilson Summers IV and his wife Laurie of Ashburn, VA and Scott Summers and his wife Marsha of Scottsdale, AZ. She also leaves four grandchildren, Jennifer, Tamara, Dr. Shawn and Kyle as well as seven great-grandchildren.

Marilyn was a homemaker and soul-mate to Wilson. She did much volunteer work for her church and Kettering Hospital during her lifetime. She was an artist and was very active in the Officer's Wives Clubs. Marilyn and Wilson moved to what was then Bay Point Yacht and Country Club in 1979 when Wilson retired from McDonnell Aircraft Corporation. Memorialization will be by cremation and a family Catholic Mass will be held at a later date.
