Marie Sorrentino Waller Lee, 93, of Lynn Haven, FL passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at her daughter's residence in Albany, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour before the service, at 9:00 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lee was born in Panama City on August 16, 1928, to Lillie Smith Sorrentino and Ralph W. Sorrentino and grew up on Magnolia Avenue.  Marie attended Panama Grammar School where she played in the school band and continued in the Bay County High School Band. After graduating from BCHS in the Class of 1946, she graduated from Andrew College in 1949 as Class President.

In 1950 she married Charles "Bill" Waller (deceased 1963) and moved to Youngstown, FL where she lived until 1959 when the family moved to Lynn Haven, FL. She was an active member in Lynn Haven Methodist Church, Panama Country Club, Panama City Women's Club, & Bay County Medical Center Volunteers (with over 6,500 hours in the Gift Shop).

Marie retired from Gulf Coast Community College in 1986 to travel with her husband Robert E. Lee who had retired.

Predeceasing Marie were her parents, first husband Bill, daughter Karen Marie Waller, siblings, Ralph Sorrentino, Virginia Granberry, Anita Pospisil, Gloria Taylor, Catherine Wilson and husband Robert E. Lee.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Whaley (Joe), son Bill Waller (Selina), sons by marriage, Jim Lee (Martha) & Gary Lee (Jean). Grandchildren Kristen Fields (Braxton), Kevin Whaley (Laura), Karen Hoye (Walker), Lee Waller (Katherine), Step-grandchildren Jeff Lee (Donna), Andy Lee (Kelli), Kathy White, plus five great grandchildren: Mason Fields, McKayla Fields, Maddox Fields, Madison Whaley, Hunter Whaley and many loved nieces and nephews.
