MARIAN "JERRY" LOVE THOMPSON

Marian "Jerry" Love Thompson, 85, of Panama City, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007. She was born on August 24, 1921 in Grayson, Louisiana. With her husband serving in the U.S. Air Force, she worked as a secretary at the Hospital at Tyndall AFB and then for the Surgeon General's Office at the Pentagon. After her husband's retirement, they moved to Panama City in 1962. She then went to work as a business teacher at Bay High School for 20 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Thompson, Jr., two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Dunning, of Panama City; son, James C. Thompson, of Seattle, WA; two grandchildren, Michael E. Dunning and Julie Dunning; brother, John Love, of Longview, TX; son-in-law, Bill Dunning of Panama City and numerous nieces and nephews, including Eddie Love, Ken Blackwell, Jean Addison, all of Panama City and Carolyn Palmquist of Havana, FL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 – 8 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund or to the charity of your choice.
