Obituary

Margaret Mims Wiggins passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at her home in Panama City, FL, with her husband of almost 62 years, Kenneth and her son Michael at her side. Dr. Wiggins was a retired school teacher and principal, who started teaching in Panama City in the 1950's. After moving to Stillwater, OK, she continued working for the Stillwater Public school system until her retirement.

She earned her bachelor's degree from Troy State College and her master's and doctorate degrees in education from Oklahoma State University. She loved teaching, traveling with her husband and her family was the center of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Lantie and Inez Mims, and a brother, William Mims. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Kenneth E. Wiggins, son, Dr. Michael E. Wiggins, and a sister Carolyn Blakeley of Panama City, FL.  She leaves to cherish her memory four Grandchildren, Ken Wiggins (Jennifer) of Miami, FL, James Wiggins (Heather) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Leanne Wiggins of Orlando, FL, Brian Wiggins of Orlando, FL. and five Great Grandchildren, Connor, Penelope, Riley, Casey and Hailey.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Covenant Hospice, 107 West 19 th Street, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Margaret.
