Margaret Jean Helms Buschmeyer, 89, of Panama City, passed away November 18, 2019 in a local hospital. She was born December 20, 1929 in New Brockton, Alabama. She was a retired bookkeeper for Clearview Cable. She was a member of St. Andrew Baptist Church. She was the secretary/treasurer of the Panama City Women's Bowling League for 35 years, where she was inducted into the PCWBA and WIBC Hall of Fame. She was preceded in death by parents, Adolphus "Doc" & Bessie Louise Helms; brother, Al "Fate" Helms and great grandson, Coen James Walsh. She is survived by her husband, Charles Harold Buschmeyer; sister, Daisy Mae Helms Justice (Charlie); brother, Gary Joel Helms; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Betty) Helms; two children, Rory Buschmeyer Steiner, Greg Buschmeyer (Cathy); grandchildren, Ryan Buschmeyer (Kerri), Casey Buschmeyer (Lorrie), Brent Steiner (Julie), and Jennifer Steiner Walsh (Josh); great grandchildren, Caitie Buschmeyer, Blaine Steiner, Cole Bushmeyer, Aislin Steiner, Mya Walsh, and Kate Buschmeyer; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Morris Denman and Rev. Josh Walsh officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 to 1 p.m. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, great grandsons and Mike Nixon. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Alzheimer's, Diabetes or Breast Cancer Research in memory of Margaret Buschmeyer.
