MABLE PHILLIPS JOWERS HART
Mable Phillips Jowers Hart, 86, of Panama City, joined her family at their mansion in the sky on June 3, 2013. Mable was born in Covington County, Al on September 24, 1926 to Wheeler and Ella (Bingham) Phillips. She grew up in Laurel Hill, Fl, then, as a loving mother, raised her children after the death of their father, Mark Rhudean Jowers, in Bartow and Pensacola, FL. Later, she married William A. Hart and lived in Milton, FL. until she moved to Panama City in 2000.
Mable was predeceased by her parents, as well as husbands, Mark and William; sister, Varah Lawrence; and son, Billie Hart. She is survived by her son, Gerald Jowers (wife Jean); daughters, Christine Tipton (husband Charles) and Elva McCaig (husband Lee); as well as sisters, Maudie McCranie of Pensacola, Coaleen Booth of Panama City and Willadean Brown of Laurel Hill and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held in the cemetery at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Laurel Hill, FL on June 6, 2013, at 11:00 am, Reverend Charles Key officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Panama City, FL is conducting the arrangements.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mable's name to Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
