LYNDA L. SOWELL
Lynda L. Sowell, 67, of Panama City, died December 24, 2008 in a local hospital. She was born July 3, 1941 in Panama City, Florida. She had been a resident of Panama City all her life. She was a retired certifier for the state of Florida. She attended Springfield Community Church and was a member of the State of Florida Retirees Association. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Franklin Sowell. She is survived by her mother, Myrtle Sowell of Panama City, uncles, Leland F. Sowell of Panama City, Hubert Sowell and wife Dorothy of St. Augustine, Florida, special cousins, Calvin Sapp and wife Mamie of Chipley, Diane Smith of Panama City, Jean Butler and husband Earl, Charles Patterson and wife Carolyn, all of East Point, Florida, and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the American Heart Association, 205 Forest Park Circle, Panama City, Florida 32405 in memory of Lynda Sowell.
