Lurie Franklin McKay Sr., 78, of Panama City passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022.  He was born January 1, 1944 in Taylor, Alabama to Lurie & Louise McKay.  He was a lineman for Gulf Power Company retiring in 2003 after 37 years of service.  He was preceded by his parents; his wife, Elaine McKay and a son, Lurie Franklin McKay Jr.  He is survived by a daughter, Sandra McKay; son, Phillip McKay (Tasha); two stepsons, Lee Phillips (Donna), Michael Phillips; six grandchildren, Kristen McKay (Victor), Klint McKay, Dyllan McKay, Zack Phillips, Zellee Phillips, Alyssa Hardee; brother, Henry McKay and two nephews, Jason McKay (Kathleen), John McKay (April).  Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 prior to the graveside.
