Luke Arrant, 86, of Lynn Haven, Fla., went to be with the Lord on July 6th, 2013 at Sims Veteran's Nursing Home. Luke was born on May 1, 1927 in Prosperity, Fl. He served his country in the U.S. Army for six years. He worked for the Panama City paper mill for 42 years before retiring in 1989, after which he worked for Wal-Mart. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Panama City, and was also an active Mason as a member of Callaway Lodge #369. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Eastern Star, Amaranth, White Shrine and the American Legion.
Mr. Arrant is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Janice; son, Chris and his wife Melissa; daughter, Dianne Raffield and her husband Capt. Jack Raffield; grandson, Jackson Raffield; and his dog, Cricket.
Mr. Arrant was preceded in death by his parents, Angus and Rosie Lee Arrant, along with six brothers and one sister.
Funeral arrangements will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Interment will be in the Callaway Cemetery.
