LOUISE DAVIDSON SOLOMON

Louise Davidson Solomon, a longtime resident of Bay County, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. She was a member of the St. Andrew Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and active in the church's media center. She loved to read, take walks on the beach and sew for her grandchildren. She was known as a very supportive friend and encourager. She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Ken; daughters, Janet Brookins and husband Gary, Donna Petrie and husband Steve; eight grandchildren, Sarah Petrie, Paul Petrie, Ben Petrie, Rachel Petrie, Dave Brookins, John Brookins, Matt Brookins and wife Nicki, Tim Brookins and wife Mary Mac; two great grandsons, Ryan Brookins, Adam Brookins and a niece, Evon Benson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Andrew Baptist Church Media Center or Now is the Time Building Fund or to Covenant Hospice.
