LOUISE KEITH KESSEL

Louise Keith Kessel, 92, of Mexico Beach, died Monday, July 16, 2007 in a Panama City hospital. She was born April 14, 1915 in Vaughn, West Virginia to John Clifford & Virginia Bayes Keith. She was a strong woman whose life underscored her independence. In the 50's, she worked in Reservation Hospitals in Alaska, getting to work via two-seater airplanes. She was a retired medical records organizer for numerous hospitals including Port St. Joe. She had been a resident of Mexico Beach for over 35 years. She was the founding President of the Mexico Beach Garden Club, and was a member of the Council on Aging. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenvil H. Kessel, son, John Keith Kessel, brother, John Earl Keith, and a sister, Janice Marie Brand. She is survived by a granddaughter, Blake Andree Kessel, 4 grandsons, John Carlos Kessel, Austin Keith Kessel, Darcy Conan Kessel, Garen Dylan Kessel, niece, Alice Jean Keith, nephew, John Conrad Keith, grandnephew, John David Keith and a grandniece, Lauren Lisa Keith. Memorial services will be held Friday at 4 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Mexico Beach, 823 N. 15th St., Mexico Beach. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. Thursday. Graveside services will be held Friday, August 10 at 2 p.m. in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
