Obituary

Louise McCloy Fishel, 86, of Panama City, died at home surrounded by family on Tuesday morning, April 18, 2017. She was born in Monticello, Arkansas, was a graduate of Arkansas A&M College (now University of Arkansas at Monticello) and was a graduate of a Medical Technology program at Duke University. After moving to Panama City in 1957, she became a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dixon E. and Virginia McCloy; her brother, Dixon R. McCloy; and a granddaughter, Lauren Marie Morrow. She is survived by her husband, Dr. John L. Fishel; her sister-in-law, Hodge McCloy; her daughters and sons-in- law: Patricia and Kevin McBride, Paige James, Joan and John Morrow; and her son and daughter-in-law, John and Elyse Fishel. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren: Michelle McBride Foley (Brian), Mark McBride and Patrick McBride; Zach James and Haley James Coman (Andrew); Nicolle Morrow Landress (Jason), Julie Morrow Krohn (Jason), Megan Morrow and Ginny Morrow; Brittany Fishel Trumbull (Jay) and Howell Fishel; and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday at The First Presbyterian Church in Panama City with Rev. Ron Brown and Dr. Richard Watson presiding at the service. Visitation with friends will be held at the church on Friday from 12 noon to 1 pm prior to the service. A private interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Those asked to serve as pallbearers are: Dr. Owen Reese, Dr. Sidney Daffin, Mike Hauser, Ross McCloy, Deck Hull, Howell Fishel, Mark McBride, Patrick McBride and Zach James. The family would like to offer special thanks to caregivers Aubrey, Letty, Maria, Maureen, Precita and Sauvry for their compassion and assistance. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the First Presbyterian Church, 100 East 7 th Street, Panama City, Florida 32401.
