Obituary

Lorenzo N. "Lonny" Dantzler V, 61, of Panama City, FL passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. He was born on June 27, 1960 in Springhill, LA and he had been a resident of Panama City since 1966. He was a 1978 graduate of Mosley High School.  He then attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned his Bachelor's degree in 1982 and his Master's degree in 1983, both in Industrial Engineering. He was a member of the ATΩ Fraternity while he was attending Georgia Tech. He was an owner and operator of The Storage Inn. Lonny was a former member of the St. Andrew Bay Yacht Club, the Rotary Club of Panama City, and the White Western Club. He was also a former adjunct professor at Gulf Coast State College where he taught Computer Science. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Warren Dantzler. He is survived by three children, Lorenzo N. "Loren" Dantzler VI, Warren Redding Dantzler, Dailey Anne Dantzler; one grandson, Lorenzo N. "Luke" Dantzler VII; parents, Lorenzo N. "Larry" & Nancy Dantzler IV; two sisters, Cynthia "Cindy" Gay Dantzler Hammond (Chris), Susan Reece Dantzler Armagost (Glenn). Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 2 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1-2 pm prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Family Service Agency , 114 East 9 th Street, Panama City, FL 32401 (or to a charity of your choice) in memory of Lonny Dantzler.
