LOIS RHEA KENT EVERITT GARTNER

Lois Rhea Kent Everitt Gartner, 82, of Panama City, died Sunday, August 5, 2007 in her home. She was born April 23, 1925 in Orange Hill, Florida to Grady & Lovie Kent. She lived in Wewahitchka, Florida for 25 years and had been a lifelong resident of this area. She attended First United Methodist Church of Wewahitcka. She was a retired real estate broker and was a past member of the Board of Realtors. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Everitt, stepson, Larry Everitt, a brother, Christna Kent and a sister, Nadine York. She is survived by her husband, John Raymond Gartner, brother, Ernest Kent and wife, Jean; sister-in-law; Betty Kent, all of Panama City; stepchildren, Charles Everitt and wife, Rosemary of Marianna, FL; Sonya Torian and husband, Ben of Paducah, KY; Sue Ann Troxel and husband Paul of South Bend, IN; John Raymond Gartner Jr. of Albany, GA; Ralph E. Gartner of South Bend; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harry Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Those desiring may make a contribution to Covenant Hospice, 107 West 19th Street, Panama City, Florida 32405 in memory of Lois Gartner.
