Linda Cato Pope, 75, Panama City, FL passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 in Panama City, FL. A visitation will be held at 10am on Saturday, February 5th at Wilson Funeral Home, a Celebration of Life will follow at 11am.
Linda was born on October 29th, 1946 in Mobile, AL. Her parents were Harold and Helen Pope of Panama City, FL. She attended WP Davidson High School. Her older sister described her as a 'perfect student'. She went on to be a manager at Mobile Delivery Service. She would then welcome her children, Christina and Patrick. When she finished her career in Mobile, she moved to Panama City and worked at Berg Pipe- where she would meet James Cato. She married James in 1981 and gained her two step daughters, Beth and Marty, whom she loved as one of her own. She later worked at Sallie Mae, Gulf Coast Community College, and Bay Base (BDS).
Linda spent her retired years reading and doing puzzles, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. She had a generous and kind spirit with a love for everyone. Linda brought joy to her family and friends. She will be remembered for her warm and friendly smile, her gentleness, and her love for Christ.
Linda is survived by her daughters Christina Radziwon (Kevin), Beth Stringfellow (Don), Marty Cato; grandchildren Kathryn Lawrence (Alex), Linda Emily Guynn (Carson), Eric Dysvik, Jennifer Edgeworth (David), Crysta Kleinatland (Mark) Cynthia Radziwon Nelson (Brad) Autumn Smith ; great-grandchildren Conner, Leon, Remedy, and Shepard; siblings Carol Harder, Kathy Brodie (Robert), Morris Pope (Webbie), Randy Pope, Abby Todd (Robert); and many loved nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband James Cato, son Patrick Antoine, parents Harold and Helen Pope, nephew Jeffery Lloyd, and beloved puppy Jack.
