Linda Smith Caron, 79, passed peacefully on January 18, 2026 with family in Theodore, AL. She was born November 12, 1946 in Providence RI and lived her youth in Rhode Island and Connecticut. Linda graduated from Wethersfield High School and continued her education earning a Bachelor's degree in English from Conn College.

She became a technical editor for the defense industry and moved to Florida putting down roots in Panama City. Linda enjoyed gardening, dining with friends, crossword puzzles, fundraising to help underprivileged youth, and volunteering at FUMC in Panama City.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Miriam Hyland Smith and Gordon Wilson Smith. She is survived by her daughter Lanta Kirsten Caron.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 10 a.m. in the Lynn Haven Cemetery with Rev. Carl Fountain officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Anchorage Children's Home in Panama City FL.
