Lewis David Brubaker Sr., 93, of Panama City, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 11, 2021.  Lewis was born October 11, 1927 in St Augustine, Florida to Emil & Nellie Mae Brubaker.  He served in the United States Navy from 1945-1947 and the United States Air Force from 1950-1954. He was a lifelong resident of Panama City, and he worked for 28 years with International Paper Company.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed serving in the greeting and food bank ministries. He loved to fish, to be with family, and enjoyed being Papa Lew to his many grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Jo Carolyn Brubaker; sister, Charlotte Johns and a brother, Elton Brubaker.  He is survived by a son, Lewis David Brubaker Jr. (Sharon); a daughter, Betsy Wicklein (Robert); five grandchildren, Daniel Brubaker (Holly), Zachary Brubaker, Katie Lane (Ed), Laura Brubaker (Joseph), Carrie Kimmel (Jared) and ten great grandchildren.  A memorial graveside service will be held on October 11 ^th at 11am at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.  A reception will follow at 12:30pm at First Baptist Church of Panama City.
