Lettie Mae Worthington Smith, 83, of Panama City, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. She was born on April 22, 1931 in Vernon, Florida. She was a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a member and financial secretary for St. Andrew Baptist Church and was also owner of Hilton's Buster Brown Shoes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton J. "Bill" Smith; son-in-law, Chip Lloyd; and her siblings, Gettis Worthington, Minta Worthington, Elton Worthington, Vertie Smothers, Cary Worthington, Tiney Everett and Ruby Cutts. She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Chavers (Sammy), Sherri Lloyd; four grandchildren, Jeremy Lloyd (Whitney), Jordan Lloyd (Ellen), Christy Wortman (Ben), Katy Johnson (Ben); nine great grandchildren, Isabella Lloyd, Jackson Lloyd, Tucker Lloyd, Madelyn Lloyd, Jude Lloyd, Hilton Wortman, Reese Johnson, Riley-Kate Johnson, Hui Cheng Shi Johnson; one sister, Shirley Squires; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Morris Denman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. at the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery, Washington County, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Center of Hope at St. Andrew Baptist Church.
