Obituary

Leslie Holt McNabb passed from this life to his heavenly home on Friday, September 28th, 2018. He was a man of great kindness and loved his family dearly as we did him.
Leslie was born in Erwin, Tennessee on September 11th, 1946 to Raymond Holt McNabb and Pauline Banner McNabb but Panama City was his home.
He is survived by his love of 51 years, Kathryn Forehand McNabb, and his daughter, Leslyn McNabb and husband Robert Swain of Atlanta, GA. The lights of his life are his daughter, grandson Luke Holt Swain, who he called "Pal", and his granddaughter Dylan Shelby Swain who was his "Princess". They will dearly miss their Papoo.
He is also survived by his sister Della McNabb Wing of Oxford, MS., brother Aaron McNabb and wife JoAnna of Chillicothe, MO., brother Reginald Martin "Marty" McNabb and wife Lisa of Panama City. Sister-in-law Suzanne Wood (Bill) of Port St. Joe, FL and brother-in-law Keith Forehand and wife Martha of Panama City, FL. Numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, also survive.
Leslie was a 1964 graduate of Bay High School, attended Gulf Coast Community College, and was in the US Army Reserves, armor unit. He worked in the retail flooring industry for 35 years at Custom Floors, Inc., as job foreman. He was a master at his trade and trained many in this field. He had certifications from many of the leading manufacturers in the retail flooring industry. He was also a state certified general contractor.
Leslie was active with the Shaddai Shrine Club. He was a member of #212 Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, York Rite, and St. Johns Commandry #29 Knights Templar. He was a member of Shaddai Roadrunners motorcycle unit and also a founding member of Shaddai Bikers. He loved to ride motorcycles, especially his Harley.
Leslie was a member of Lilly Dale Church of Christ in Erwin, Tenn, where he was baptized at an early age. He lived his life as his testimony to his love of God and family and all who knew him.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with masonic rites conducted at the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shaddai Shrine Transportation Fund, PO Box 16115, Panama City, FL 32406 or charity of your choice.
