Leslie R. Gibson, 78, born in Norman, OK on July 1, 1943. He passed away on June 14, 2022 in the ICU at Gulf Coast Medical Hospital. He was a 20 year retired veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of Callaway Community Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Gibson and his mother, Mertha Lee. He leaves behind a loving wife, Edith Fay Gibson; a best friend and brother, Tommy Gibson (Kae); three children, Laynetta Gibson, Vickie Achord (Nathaniel), Kevin Gibson; four stepchildren, Pamela Andrews (Gordon), Eddie Pitts (Karen), Freddie Pitts (Sabrina), Tanya Griner (Mike); numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 2 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie D. Pitts officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1-2 pm prior to the service.
