Obituary

Leonard Michael Woodrum, 59, of Panama City, Florida, passed away August 4, 2011 in a local hospital. He was born January 29, 1952 at Westover Air Force Base, Massachusetts. He served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He had been a resident of Panama City since 1979. He was a Registered Respiratory Therapist for 30 years. He was a member of the St. Andrews String Band, the Bay County Chamber of Commerce and the Hiland Park Baptist Church, where he operated the television camera. Also, he was the Civil War Captain Re-enactor. He is survived by his wife, Anfe Woodrum, parents, Leonard Ivan Woodrum and Hilda Ruth Woodrum, brother, Joel Woodrum, sisters, Cheyanna McBroom, Angela Thurman and Karen Findley. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steven L. Kyle officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. Active pallbearers will be Joel Woodrum, Christopher Woodrum, Lloyd Baker, Wayne Pippin, Coy Robinson and Paul Kelly. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Michael Woodrum Medical Expenses at any Branch Bank and Trust (BB & T Bank).
